Built to hold up when someone asks how a decision was made

Public records work is reviewed by requesters, reporters and courts. perapro keeps your answers exact and your process visible.

  • The law, word for word

Exemptions and letter appendices quote the official code exactly. Plain-English notes are labelled as notes, never shown as the statute.

  • A complete audit trail

Every upload, redaction, letter, payment and release is logged with who did it and when, on the request it belongs to.

  • Redactions that can't be undone

Documents are redacted as page images, and the released copy is built from those images, so nothing underneath can be copied out.

  • Counsel stays behind the agency

Outside counsel never contacts the requester. Every message goes out in the agency's name.

  • Separate by default

Each agency's records are kept apart. A firm sees only the matters an agency sends it.

  • Support only by invitation

perapro support can see your workspace only when you grant time-limited, read-only access, and each visit is logged.

Looking to file a public records request?

You can file through perapro only with agencies and school districts that use it. If yours isn't listed, contact it directly. perapro can't forward requests to other agencies.
